Balsamic Dressing

Salad dressings have to be one of those items at the grocery store I don’t usually buy since they are so easy to make yourself not to mention all the additives that are in those salad dressing bottles lining the grocery store shelves.

The salad dressings I have featured have been very popular and I get emails and comments all the time saying how much you love  the dressings and you will never buy store bought dressings again.

If you have missed past salad dressings you can check out the Buttermilk Ranch Dressing and Creamy Avocado Yogurt Dressing.  These both take only minutes to make and you have delicious dressing ready to toss in any salad.

A simple balsamic dressing has to be my all time favorite.  It’s simple, light and pairs wonderfully with so many salads.  From a spinach salad topped with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes to an arugula salad tossed with strawberries, grapes, pecans, walnuts and feta, balsamic dressing is the perfect addition to any salads.

If you are having a dinner party instead of bottles of dressing lining the table, keep it simple with just one or two.  Better yet serve a balsamic dressing and for people that enjoy a creamy salad dressing, add equal parts of plain Greek yogurt the balsamic dressing to get two dressings from one.

Not only are these dressings great just for salads but use as a marinade for chicken or pork.  The Maple Balsamic Dressing is a favorite in our house making grilled chicken.

For a sweet and absolutely fabulous dressing go for the Maple Balsamic Dressing.  Can I tell you how incredibly delicious it is?  Better yet, the next time you are making a salad give this one a try.  You can’t find a dressing like this on the grocery store shelves.

  1. Love, love this Jennifer! Homemade dressings are my favorite. The only one that I buy from the store anymore is Hidden Valley because my husband nearly requires it. Other than that it’s homemade for me. And I’m definitely trying this maple one, it sounds amazing!

  2. i have to admit that so far i was just too lazy to make my own salad dressings. if my sister could read this she would smack me ini the head 😉 i will try to be better…

  3. In the Maple Balsamic drsg you instruct us to stir in honey, but it is not listed in the ingredients. Is there a possible substitute for the light brown sugar, like maybe coconut palm sugar?
