Strawberry Yogurt Pie

This is my new favorite pie.

Last weekend I found a recipe on Pinterest for Key Lime Pie that used only lime sugar free jello, lime yogurt, cool whip and a reduced fat graham cracker crust.  It sounded great, and I loved it was virtually fat free, meaning guilt free so I had to try it.

On Tuesday I had a bunch of my dear friends come to visit from out of town for lunch and then we had we went to see Cirque du Soleil here in Buffalo.  The show was amazing!  I had a luncheon poolside and served the Key Lime Pie for dessert.  It was fabulous!  I thought if you could do this with lime, you could do this with any kind of jello, yogurt combination so I gave it a shot using strawberry.

This couldn’t be any easier and the combinations using jello and yogurt our endless.  You could use orange jello and orange creamsicle yogurt for a orange creamsicle pie, black cherry you name it.   The consistency is rich and creamy and you wouldn’t know it was low fat.  I’m already thinking of a combination like this for fall using pumpkin and apple.

I am thrilled with this recipe that I couldn’t wait to share it with you.  If you are looking for a simple, creamy and guilt free dessert you definitely need to give this a try.

What combination sounds good to you?

  1. We used to make 6 of these every Saturday for Sunday lunch at our restaurant. It was always a big hit. Did different flavor every Sunday. The men especially wouldn’t believe me when I told them it was fat free.

  2. Sorry multi tasking. Do I have to use sugar free jello. Will the others make a difference in the final result
