Keeping It All Together With The Blackberry Priv + Cookies!

Do you remember when Blackberry’s first came out in the late 90’s? I remember when I got my first Blackberry in 2006 for work, I thought I was pretty cool. Being a corporate travel agent (yes, I was a travel agent before I had my kids and started blogging) at the time it was imperative for me to be able to access to emails quickly even during off hours. Even though I’m not tech savvy the Blackberry Priv has some pretty cool features on top of the keyboard that I love. The Blackberry Priv is 5.4 inches with a Quad HD dual-curved screen and nestles perfectly in the palm of your hand perfect for on the go moms that may be sending emails while grocery shopping (guilty!) or even writing and checking your shopping list right from the phone. It’s also has a 3410 mAh battery with a battery life up to 22.5 hours which is essential for mamas that need that extra battery juice to keep the kiddos entertained with videos or games while getting errands done. The Blackberry Hub is literally a hub where you can manage everything from emails, text messsages, check social media, calendar, you name it quickly and easily all in one place, or hub. If you like organization this feature is awesome so you don’t miss a beat. Basically with a simple swipe you can check everything all in one feed. You don’t need to hop from app to app checking emails, social media notifications, etc… For me it’s a lifesaver. With the hustle and bustle of day to day life and juggling my little blogging career that I created thanks to my amazing and supportive readers having a hub I can quickly access is essential so I can be notified no matter where I am day or night.

Along with the Blackberry Hub is the incredible Blackberry calendar which continues to keep your daily, weekly calendar organized. You can even peek at your calendar agenda with a simple swipe in Blackberry Hub. Another great feature is when it’s time to join a call, it will present you with a Join Now button that automatically dials you in – how cool is that?

Lights, Camera, Action!

Since I am a foodie and this is a food and home blog I couldn’t resist testing out the camera on the Blackberry Priv to see if it really takes amazing photos as it says. Since I normally shoot my food photos with a DSLR I thought I’d do the same exact set up as I would on a typically day of shooting but instead shoot with the Priv.

First I needed to create something yummy and delicious to shoot so I gathered my little helpers to the kitchen and we made my favorite Peanut Butter Blossoms. I have made this same recipe for the holidays since I can remember. This really is the BEST recipe for Peanut Butter Blossoms and it’s a great recipe to get the kiddos involved with too. After I get the cookie dough made they love to roll the cookies in the sugar and of course put the Hershey kiss on top.

Can you tell a difference from these photos than my other food photos I normally shoot? I can’t. The Blackberry PRIV camera definitely passes the test for a great smartphone camera that integrates technologies that can also be found in DSLR cameras.

In short the Blackberry Priv is the perfect device to that can take me from day to night. I can easily access my calendar to see what yummy posts I have coming up on MT, plan my weekly dinner menu, have all my favorite app’s like Pinterest, Instagram and take pictures of my favorite meals and of course my kiddos all in one place.

Whether you are a mom on the go like me or looking for a cool new smartphone with great features to keep you organized and take great pictures the Priv is a phone you should consider. I’m totally impressed. Blackberry has come a long way since I last used it ten years ago!
