I’m such a fan of hummus. It makes a great spread on sandwiches and wraps and of course a yummy dip for pita chips and carrots. I love it so much I dive right into a bowl of hummus with a spoon. With just a few simple ingredients including chickpeas or garbanzo beans whatever you’d like to call them, some olive oil, and a splash of lemon juice you can easily whip up a creamy and delicious hummus, no tahini required.

Hummus lovers don’t gasp at the thought of not adding tahini to hummus, trust me. I was skeptical myself and never thought of a world without tahini in hummus until I tried it for myself. It’s everything I love about hummus and I really don’t miss the tahini, seriously! And with the addition of a packet of Lipton® Recipe Secrets Onion Soup Mix it makes this tasty hummus even better. It totally knocked my socks off and I’m hooked on it now, seriously!

  1. Did you roast your chickpeas first? The picture of them before you blended them they looked toasted. Just curious. Thanks!
