Makes 28 truffles
Ingredients
15.25oz package chocolate creme Oreo cookies
8oz package of cream cheese
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Chocolate sprinkles (optional)
Directions
Break up Oreo cookies and place in food processor. Blend on highest speed until cookies are finely chopped. Mix cookie crumbs with cream cheese until well combined. Chill mixture in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Make tablespoon size balls and place on wax paper. Chill balls in refrigerator for another 15 minutes.
Melt chocolate using a double boiler or in microwave. Let melted chocolate cool slightly and roll truffle balls in chocolate. Place back on wax paper. Top with sprinkles. Place in refrigerator until chocolate hardens.
Store in air tight containers.
Notes and variations-
I mix the Oreo crumbs with the cream cheese using my stand mixer. This method combines the cream cheese with the crumbs quickly. You can also do this by hand with a large spoon or using your hands as well.
Place Hershey kisses or caramel pieces in the center of truffles and make round balls.
Roll balls in white chocolate.
Let chocolate cool enough that it is still easy to roll truffles in but you don’t want to roll the truffles in warm chocolate hot out of the microwave or off the stove.

These would be very dangerous in my house.
Those look awesome! Great for Christmas
Yumm! These look delish. Love the touch of sprinkles. I make oreo truffles as well, however I use regular oreoas and a mix of milk chocolate and semi sweet baker’s chocolate.
I LOVE oreo truffles. I have never made them with anything but the regular kind though. I wonder how they would be with the peppermint Christmas filling?
Definitely my favorite. I’m making some this Christmas too!
Ohhh my goodness these look amazing, thanks for sharing!!

You had me at oreo. These are so gorgeous. I must make these!
Oh wow they look delicious! Going on the Christmas baking list for sure.
these look incredible!
I don’t have any oreos in my house, but I can change that
Yummm! These sound terrific and very similar to the way you make cake balls. I bet they’d be good with peanut butter stuffed inside or mini peanut butter cups. This recipe is a no brainer. I’m making these especially since I know they’ll be gobbled up quickly. Thanks for sharing.
Ohhhhh, yummm! This would be a great recipe to do with my 5 year old! Love our photos!

I saw your recipe recently and knew I had to make these. First, I am an Oreo freak and secondly, I love Oreos! lol Seriously, these are just wonderful – my kids and hubby (and yes me) went nuts over these!
simple but time consuming… well worth it. chocolate chips didn’t work well for dipping. luckily i had melting chocolate! decorated them with green, white and red sprinkles. the teachers are going to love them! thank you so much!
Hey I’m wondering how long these keep in the fridge? I’m wanting to make them in advance so wanted to know how many days in advance would be ok?
Hi Tash- These can be stored for up to a week in an air tight container in the refrigerator. Enjoy!
PSST – WHEN are we getting together? Had to find the Oreo recipe and tell you that Oreos are on sale this week at Tops and CVS… $2.50/package – now that is a REAL DEAL!!
Hi I was wondering, can i dip the oreo truffle in chocolate and keep it over night ? Or should I keep it over night then dip it in chocolate the next day, would it be possible, if I put it on a stick
Hi! Yes, you can dip these in chocolate and they will keep overnight. They will actually keep a few days after they are dipped in chocolate in an airtight container. Enjoy!
