I haven’t had fudge since probably last Christmas so when it was revealed that this month’s Crazy Cooking Challenge was going to be fudge I got all excited since I was already planning on making a few batches for holiday gatherings.
Who doesn’t love fudge? I remember when I was young going to the local amusement park and going to the fudge shop. It was one of those treats that you enjoy a few samples while browsing and then purchase a few blocks to bring home.
Nothing beats homemade fudge. There are so many creative varieties as well as your classic recipes that never seem to get old. So when it came to deciding which recipe to choose for this fun challenge I had a list of recipes to choose from.
The Crazy Cooking Challenge is designed to choose a recipe for the featured food from another food bloggers site. This was a tough decision for me to ultimately choose just one.
Here are a few that are on my list to try-
These all look fabulous and I will definitely be trying them.
For this challenge I decided to make Chocolate Cinnamon Fudge from A Cozy Kitchen. This beautiful site is written by the very talented Adrianna. Her writing is fabulous and she shares such delicious recipes. I love the combination of chocolate and cinnamon so I was intrigued to try this. Not only is this recipe so easy, it is amazing! Simple, delicious and fudgey, how can you go wrong?
If you plan on making fudge for the holidays or anytime, you need to try this. And you want to know something even better? You can freeze this. So make it now and when you have guests over for Christmas or New Years you have one less dessert to make. I have this batch hanging in the freezer and I am hoping it makes it until Christmas since I know someone that may be sneaking a piece here and there!
Chocolate Cinnamon Fudge
Ingredients
1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 pound (about 2 cups) semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into cubes, at room temperature, plus more for greasing the pan
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 pound (about 2 cups) semisweet chocolate chips
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into cubes, at room temperature, plus more for greasing the pan
Directions
Butter the bottom and sides of an 8 by 8-inch baking pan. Line the pan with a sheet of parchment paper, allowing a couple inches of parchment paper to hang over the side.
In a medium glass or stainless steel bowl, combine the condensed milk, cinnamon, and vanilla. Stir in the chocolate chips and butter. Put the bowl on a saucepan of barely simmering water and stir until the chocolate chips have melted and the mixture is smooth, about 6-8 minutes. Using a spatula, scrape the mixture into the pan and smooth the top. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until firm.
Lift the edges of the parchment paper that are hung over the pan and remove the fudge onto a cutting board. Peel off the parchment paper and cut the fudge into 1-inch pieces. Store refrigerated in an airtight container or freeze.

I absolutely love fudge and I don’t think I can even tell you the last time I had it. I found a simple fudge recipe today and I think I’m going to try it out. This one looks so wonderful, I love the addition of cinnamon!
Love the addition of cinnamon to classic chocolate fudge! Will certainly be giving that a try. Thanks for sharing! I’m ‘Challenge’ participant #7 stopping by to say hi.
OMG I LOVE fudge! Your cinnamon fudge sounds sensational and then looking at all the other photos of various types of fudge makes me hungry for a piece. Now it looks like I’ll be spending the next year making each one of these.

Yummy! I love Giada’s recipes, and I love your pictures! I made orange essence fudge. It was yummy too!
Oh no I have all the ingredients for this on hand and it looks way too good not to try. Choc-cinnamon would have to be one of my favourite combinations.
Ooo… reminds me of Mexican hot chocolate – delish! I’m saving this recipe for sure. I hope you’ll stop by and visit my CCC post for Bailey’s Irish Cream and Pistachio Fudge.
