A simple and easy recipe for homemade pizza sauce that takes only minutes to make with just a few common ingredients you probably already have on hand!
I have to admit I am in love with this sauce.
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1-2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 can 15 ounces tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients and cook on simmer for 20-30 minutes.
To avoid waste, I always have a tube of tomato paste on hand in my refrigerator. Its perfect to have instead of buying a small can of tomato paste when needing a small amount.
