The unofficial smoothie week continues with this tasty Banana Mango Green Smoothie

When I came up with this it was love at first sip.  Made with banana, mango (obviously), a handful of spinach leaves and coconut water.  It is a perfect combination.  I have even made this for people that are not spinach or green smoothie fans and they love it.

When you have the right ratio of ingredients to balance the flavors, they blend perfectly together (literally.)  So if you are on the fence about trying a green smoothie, I encouarge you to try this.  You may be surprised just how tasty it is.

For this recipe I went conservative on the spinach.  Feel free to add a litte more.  Also add in some chia seeds, ground flaxseed if you have it on hand too.

This Banana Mango Green Smoothie is light and refreshing.  I make this almost everyday for my kids.  I like to use canned coconut water, however any coconut water will do.  I usually buy my mangos in a three pack.  What I like to do is I’ll cut them up and place them in the freezer.  This saves a step when I’m ready to make the smoothie.  I just need to toss the ingredients in the blender and not have to take the extra time to cut up the fruit.   If you do use frozen fruit, you’ll just need to use less ice.

If you love smoothies or are looking for some new flavors to try, you need to add this one to your list.  It is so good!
