In a small bowl mix together breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, almonds, garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a medium skillet over medium heat.
Add minced garlic and cook for about 45 seconds, until fragrant.
Add breadcrumb mixture to skillet and cook, stirring occasionally until toasted, about 4-5 minutes.
Remove mixture from skillet and set aside.
Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil.
Add green beans and cook for about 5 minutes until tender.
Drain and transfer warm green beans to a large bowl.
Toss warm green beans with remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Heat from green beans should melt the butter and coat the green beans with butter.
Toss green beans with breadcrumb mixture.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
You could also use a 1 pound bag of steamed frozen green beans too. Follow instructions above for garlic butter breadcrumbs and almonds. Steam green beans per package instructions then add green beans to a bowl and toss with butter and toss with garlic butter breadcrumbs and almonds. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
