One Year

Photo from Cake Decorating Series
I can’t believe one year ago I hit publish on my keyboard embarking into a world that I was unfamiliar with.  I was ready and determined to create something that I could look back on and say I did it.

And one year later, I did.

Today marks the one year anniversary of Mother Thyme.  How quickly a year has flown by.

It’s been a year filled with recipes such as Lemon Sugar Cookies, Slow Cooker Pork Ragu, Peach Muffins, Corn Salad just to name a mere few that have filled the recipe box.
Banana Zucchini Muffins, Chicken and Broccoli Stir Fry, Nutella Brownies and Blueberry Cake have been some reader favorites!

Every recipe I have shared comes from the heart along with the stories behind each one.  I have found a creative outlet that I just love.

I have learned this year to stay true to yourself.  I can’t express that enough.  I am who I am and I would never want to copy or mimic someone else.  Creating my own style makes me unique.

I could eat, breath and sleep food photography.  I can’t get enough of it.  I am often found pinning and gawking over pictures of food.  It is a serious addiction.

I would love to learn how to tweet, like for real.  Yes, I do it, but sometimes I am just crossing my fingers making sure I am doing it right.  I think a Twitter 101 class should be on the to do list.

What I truly believe the most in my work is quality over quantity.  I once read early on when I began to stick to quality content over worrying how many likes, hits, comments etc… you get.  That has stuck with me.  I don’t and I can’t wrap myself up in numbers.  I don’t do this for that purpose.  I do this because I have a passion for cooking, a joy of photographing food and a love for sharing my thoughts with you.
Everyone loves panini sandwiches including Parmesan Grilled Cheese Panini, Buffalo Chicken Panini and Chipotle Grilled Cheese Panini.
I am so thankful for you, my readers, and foodie friends that I have made this year.  I am truly touched by your support, your comments, your emails.  Nothing means more to me than seeing emails and comments from all of you letting me know you tried a recipe.  I create these recipes for all to enjoy.  I’ll never forget the first time I received a comment from someone who made recipe of mine and how much they loved it.  To know my recipe I put my heart into was in others kitchens means the world to me.
