So I’m trying a new thing, Google +.  I’ve had the account for maybe a year but haven’t done much with it.  When I traveled to a conference in Chicago back in November there was a session about Google +.  As much as it was informative I am still completely lost on how to use it, but you can’t fault a girl for trying.

Between Facebook, Twitter, now Google +, what’s next.  And don’t get me going on Instagram and now I hear about this app called Vine.  The one that I don’t seem to have a probem using is Pinterest.  I could be stuck on there for hours.  For everyone that seamlessly manages all these acccounts, I applaud you.  Now tell me your secrets on how you do it!

I may not know how to keep up with social media but I do know how to whip up a creamy, delicious and healthy dip that you will want to eat with a spoon.  This Sunday many of us will be gathering around our big screens watching football or for us gals like me, waiting to watch some funny commercials and enjoying an array of food.  But there is nothing worse then hosting or going to a party when you are trying to shed some weight and there is a buffet of high calorie food set out.  I lose all control.  A little here, a little there and before I know it I’m the guilty one standing in the corner that ate half of the thousand calorie dip.  No cool.

What to do in that situation?  Make a good for you dip that if you eat the entire bowl you don’t have to feel guilty.  Now we’re talking.  There are plenty of dips and party food circulating the internet that you can indulge on that you won’t feel guilty eating.  One of my favorites is this White Bean and Roasted Red Pepper Dip.  It uses just a smidge of yogurt in place of olive oil so it slashes the fat and calories and gives it a creamier consistency.  This dip is really addicting.  I love to serve it warm with a side of tortilla chips and veggies.  This even makes a great spread for sandwiches, wraps and burgers.  However you intend to use it, you won’t have to sneak in the corner to enjoy it.

If you love the sounds of this dip, check out my Buffalo Cauliflower Dip.  It is just as addicting and is perfect for Super Bowl Sunday!

You can come find me now in my little corner of the internet with this dip on Google + too.

  1. There’s just too many social media outlets now! I barely use google+ but apparently it’s good for SEO! And Vine? Yeah just got on there too. I didn’t think I’d like it but I think it’s so helpful for readers when you have simple videos of how you’re making your recipes. I think I’m already addicted.

Oh and this dip is a must have. I just discovered the beauty of white bean dips and I’m obsessed! Definitely have to give yours a try!
