A family favorite recipe for Calico Beans mixed with a variety of beans, ground beef and bacon then tossed in a sweet and tangy sauce and baked until hot and bubbly.

Ingredients
1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 pound good quality thick cut bacon (diced)
1 cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic (chopped)
1 16 ounce can pork and beans, undrained
1 15.5 ounce can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained
1 15.5 ounce can lima beans, rinsed and drained
1 15.5 ounce can kidney beans, rinsed and drained
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons yellow mustard
4 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook ground beef, bacon and onions in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is cooked and onions are tender, about 10 minutes
Remove from heat and drain excess fat.
Add beans and beef mixture in a 3 quart casserole dish.
Stir in brown sugar, ketchup, salt, mustard, vinegar and pepper and gently until combined.
