Prep-Ahead Freezer Waffles

PREP-AHEAD FREEZER WAFFLES

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 23 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. In a large batter bowl mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. Make a well in the flour mixture and add in milk, butter, vanilla and eggs. Stir all ingredients together until smooth.
  3. Follow instructions of waffle maker to cook waffles. Cook waffles until they are done and just beginning to turn brown.
  4. Remove from waffle maker and place on a plate, or large sheet pan in a single layer to cool.
  5. Once cool, place cooked waffles in a freezer safe bag. Seal, removing as much air as possible.
  6. Store in the freezer and use within 3 months.
