Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

SLOW COOKER CHICKEN AND DUMPLINGS

An easy and delicious recipe for Chicken and Dumplings!

Ingredients

  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/2 pounds)
  • 2 cans (10.5 oz each) cream of chicken
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen peas and carrots
  • 2 cups Bisquick
  • 2/3 cup milk

Instructions

  • Add chicken breasts to slow cooker along with cream of chicken and chicken broth. Add seasonings and stir to mix together.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
  • Once chicken is cooked, remove chicken from slow cooker and place on cutting board and chop or shred chicken.
  • Add heavy cream and peas and carrots to liquid in slow cooker and stir to mix, then stir in the chicken.
  • In a large bowl mix together Bisquick and milk to make dumpling dough.
  • Add small dollops of Bisquick dough on top of chicken mixture in slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on high for 30-45 minutes, or until dumplings are cooked through.
