Cozy Christmas Hot Cocoa Bar
Nothing beats snuggling on the couch watching a Hallmark Christmas movie with a warm cup of hot cocoa on a cold, snowy day!
I always enjoy setting up a hot cocoa bar for the holidays. This year I moved mine from the kitchen “coffee bar” to my dining room sidebar. It gave me more room to set up a cute display with my Santa mugs.
Santa Mugs
My Santa mug collection is a mix of old and new. I love to add to my collection every year, usually investing in old ones. If you are looking to start or add to your Santa mug collection I suggest looking on eBay, Etsy and small business shops. My friends at Blackdog Creations launch them during the holidays too! And if you get lucky you can find them thrifting or antique stores. It’s the thrill of the hunt.
Speaking of Santa Mugs, the cute Santa Mug candle is also from Blackdog Creations and smells like yummy peppermint! What a cute name for a Christmas candle, right? If you have a Santa mug collection and like to do a vignette with them, this candle is a cute addition.

Vintage-Style Hot Cocoa Dispenser
When I was chatting over on my Instagram stories about my hot cocoa sidebar I shared what I was using for my hot cocoa dispenser and I got so much questions about it. It’s not actually a hot cocoa dispenser, but I’m using it as one. I just love the shape and style of it, don’t you?
It’s actually a vintage party percolator. If you want one like mine you can find them on eBay, Mercari or Etsy, or shop around your local thrift and antique stores. I actually got mine on Facebook Marketplace.
My plan is to make a batch of hot cocoa then use the percolator to keep it warm since it does work. And it’s great to use for a coffee bar!
I elevated the dispenser using the bottom of a tiered tray. If you have a tiered tray you aren’t using, take the tray apart and use the trays separately. I love doing that!
I also added some greens around the dispenser. It’s actually a small wreath from Hobby Lobby that I cut to open so I could wrap it around the dispenser.
I love percolated coffee. I used my percolator daily. It makes a great cup of coffee!
Hot Cocoa Sign
This rustic-style hot cocoa sign is the star of the show! Don’t you love it? And guess what? It’s canvas but it looks like an old rustic sign! It’s from Olive Branch Farmhouse. It comes in several sizes. You can get it HERE.
The corbel and shelves I actually got on Amazon several years ago and is something I get asked about all the time. I wish it was still available. I love it and one of my favorite spots to decorate seasonally. For my hot cocoa bar I kept the baskets I usually have on the shelf and just added some winter greens, a thrifted basket and some old and new Santa mugs.
On the sidebar I added a variety of old and new Santa mugs. The Santa pitcher is new to my collection that I got on Pottery Barn which you can find HERE.
I also added some of the mugs on this neat wooden box on wheels that I recently found thrifting for $5.00! I love it!
I also added some plates on a thrifted pie stand along with some more Santa mugs (of course) and on the bottom plate a small wreath from Hobby Lobby and filled a jar that I had from Dollar General with some mini dehydrated marshmallows. You can get these cute little dehydrated marshmallows HERE.
I also added some more marshmallows in a mason jar along with peppermint dust. It’s like crushed peppermint but finer and I love sprinkling it on my hot cocoa and coffee! I get mine at TJMaxx.
I also draped a tea towel on the sidebar just for a little pop and texture. This one I got from a local shop.
I hope this gives you some inspo for your holiday hot cocoa bar!
