Overnight Steel Cut Oats

An easy way to make steel cut oats that will be ready for breakfast in the morning. Serve with your choice of yogurt and berries for a filling breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 2 cups skim milk (or non-dairy milk such as almond milk or coconut milk)
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Spray slow cooker with cooking spray.
  2. Place all ingredients in slow cooker and stir until combined.
  3. Cover and set on low for 7-8 hours.
  4. Turn off slow cooker. Stir and serve with fresh berries and yogurt.
