Black Forest Chocolate Mug Cake (ready in 2 minutes!)

Simple warm and chocolatey mug cake topped with cherry pie filling, whipped cream and sliced almonds. Ready in 2 minutes!


  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/8 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tablespoons ready-made cherry pie filling
  • 2 tablespoons whipped cream
  • 1 tablespoon sliced almonds


  1. In a large mug whisk together milk, vegetable oil, egg and vanilla extract until blended. Stir in sugar.
  2. Scoop and level flour and place in mug with cocoa powder and a pinch of salt and mix with wet ingredients until combined.
  3. Place mug in microwave and microwave for 2 minutes.
  4. Carefully remove from microwave. Top with cherries, whipped cream and almonds.
  5. Serve warm.
