Sweet Lemon and Mint Moscow Mule

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lemon (juiced)
  • 2 tablespoon simple syrup
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 3/4 cup ginger beer
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • Crushed Ice

Instructions

  1. Fill serving mug with crushed ice.
  2. Add in lemon juice and simple syrup.
  3. Rub mint leaves in hands and add to mug.
  4. Top with ginger beer and vodka then mix.
  5. Garnish with a few extra mint leaves and a lemon wedge.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

Simple Syrup is equal parts water and sugar that is dissolved in boiling water. I usually make 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup sugar or 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar. Add it to a saucepan and heat up over medium heat. Cook, stirring occasionally until sugar is completely dissolved. Let cool then cover and store in a mason jar in the refrigerator. Use it to sweetened tea, cocktails, etc..
