Oven Baked Salted Caramel Popcorn
This should come with a warning label on it as it is highly addictive!
Â
This is not your box of crunch and munch. Â This is good stuff!
Â
If you like to make Halloween treats for the kids you need to make them a bag of this delicious goodness.  Better yet, make a bag for the kids, and a bag for mom and dad too so they can munch on this while walking door to door with their kids.  But watch out they may be ringing your door bell for more!
Â
Â
This delicious treat doesn’t just need to be for Halloween. Â Its perfect for your next movie night or if you are a popcorn lover, you will love this. Â
Â
Have some fun with it too. Â You can add in some of your favorite treats such as nuts, dried fruit, M&M’s too. Â If you do add in something you may want to reduce the amount of popcorn you use slightly just so you still have the right ratio of caramel sauce to go over the mix. Â
Â
Whether you put these in treat bags, or a pour in to a big bowl it is bound to be a treat everyone will enjoy!
Â
Â
Â
Combine butter, brown sugar, corn syrup and cream of tartar in a medium sauce pan. |
Bring to boil and stir for 5 minutes.  Remove from hit and add in baking soda and salt. |
Pour over popcorn in a large roaster pan and toss to coat. Â Bake for 45 minutes. |
Enjoy! |

Salted caramel is my favorite…this popcorn sounds like an awesome treat. It’s beautiful too!
Oh, this looks so good. I love that there is no candy thermometer and it’s baked in the oven!
I love caramel corn and this sounds so easy. I always loved getting those plastic gloves and put candy corn in the tips of the fingers then stuff with popcorn to give as treats. This would be great to do that with. Thanks for sharing.
I love popcorn and I am seriously addicted to anything salted caramel. I’m not sure if I should make these, they sound way too good!
This is an absolutely beautiful gift idea – and tasty! Such a simple method for such a lovely result.
I love salted caramel! Can’t wait to try this recipe…just in time for Halloween treats. Thanks for posting 😉

Oh boy–I’m sure I could eat the whole bowl in one sitting!
After it comes to a boil and you stir. 5 minutes later you remove from heat. What happens in those 5 minutes? Do you continue at a boil and stir? Thanks for the help!
Hi Judy, Yes, will let it boil and stir frequently for about 5 minutes until it becomes a nice amber color then remove it from the heat. I will update the recipe to reflect that as well. Thanks and enjoy!
Is the oven temperature in Centigrade or Fahrenheit please – first time making this recipe.
Hi Barbara, the recipe is in Fahrenheit. Enjoy!
