The Best Chili Cheese Dip



  • 16 oz cream cheese (softened (2 8 oz blocks))
  • 34 tablespoons chili seasoning (NOT chili powder )
  • 15 oz can chili (or 2 cups homemade chili)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • chopped green onion, chopped cilantro and/or chopped red onion (optional)
  • tortilla chips or french fries (for serving)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Mix cream cheese and 3 tablespoons chili seasoning in a large bowl until combined and creamy. Add additional chili seasoning if desired.
  3. Spread cream cheese in the bottom of a pie dish or shallow baking dish. Top with chili and cheese.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted. Garnish with chopped green onion, chopped cilantro, chopped red onion if desired
  5. Serve with tortilla chips or french fries.


You will need CHILI SEASONING for this recipe which you can find in packets in the spice section at your grocery store (like the seasonings in the red packets) or whip up BIG BATCH CHILI SEASONING to use for this and all your chili recipes!
