Easy Candied Pecans

EASY CANDIED PECANS

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pecan halves
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl mix together sugar, cinnamon and salt. Set aside.
  3. Separate egg yolk and egg white and add just the egg white to a large bowl along with water and vanilla. Whisk together until nice and frothy.
  4. Add in pecans with egg white mixture and toss to coat.
  5. Gradually toss in sugar mixture and stir to coat until all nicely coated with sugar mixture.
  6. Pour pecans evenly onto large baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour.
  7. Cool completely then store in an airtight container.
