4 (6-7 oz. each) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 cup light brown sugar
1 packet Good Seasons Italian dressing – dry mix only
Salt and pepper to taste
Mashed potatoes for serving, optional
Canned green beans for serving, optional
Instructions
Prep
Line a 9×13 baking dish with aluminum foil and spray with cooking spray.
Place chicken breast in between two pieces of wax paper and lightly pound chicken with a mallet until thickness of chicken breast is even for even cooking.
In a shallow dish mix together brown sugar and the dry Good Seasons Italian dressing mix.
Dip both sides of chicken breast in brown sugar mixture and place in prepared baking dish.
Once all the chicken is covered, sprinkle remaining brown sugar mixture on top.
Cover baking dish and refrigerate until ready to bake.
This can be made the night before or in the morning. This doesn’t need to be prepped ahead if you don’t want to.
TO MAKE
Preheat oven 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
Bake chicken uncovered for 20-25 minutes until chicken is cooked thoroughly and internal temperature of chicken is 165 degrees.
Optional – Remove chicken, increase oven temp to broil then pop chicken under the broiler for a couple of minutes to caramelize the chicken.
Let chicken rest for 5-7 minutes.
TO SERVE
Season chicken with salt and pepper and drizzle brown sugar mixture on top of chicken.
Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans if desired.
Notes
I place cut green beans in a microwave safe dish to cook. Once done I like to toss them with Kinders Buttery Garlic Salt before serving. It’s so good!
