Winner winner brown sugar Italian chicken dinner!

If you’re looking for an easy peasy dinner idea the entire family will love then you need to add this yummy brown sugar Italian chicken to the dinner menu!

Not only is this delicious it’s only 3, yes 3 ingredients! It couldn’t get any easier than this!

To make this an even easier dinner, I like to serve with store bought mashed potatoes like Bob Evans and canned green beans for an easy peasy weeknight meal.

And yes, this gets even easier. You can prep it ahead of time too so once you’re ready to make dinner, you just pop it in the oven.

I like to prep this in the morning so I can just pop in it in the oven when I’m ready to make dinner. You don’t need to prep this ahead of time, but it’s definitely a timesaver!

To prep ahead, line a 9×13 baking dish with foil. I like to use Reynolds non-stick aluminum foil. If not using a non-stick foil, I would lightly spray it with cooking spray.

I also like to place chicken breasts between two pieces of wax paper and pound the chicken with a mallet to get an even thickness so they cook evenly.

Next I mix the brown sugar and dry Italian seasoning mix together in a shallow bowl and then dip both sides of the chicken in the brown sugar mixture then place in baking dish.

After all the chicken is covered I sprinkle the remaining brown sugar mixture on top of chicken, cover with a lid or foil and refrigerate until ready to bake.

Once ready to bake, pop it in a 425 degree oven for 25-ish minutes until the chicken is thoroughly cooked and is 165 degrees Fahrenheit.

I also like to pop it under the broiler for a few minutes to caramelize the chicken. Let it rest for 5-7. minutes. When ready to serve drizzle the brown sugar juices on top of the chicken and season with salt and pepper It’s so good!
