One thing I love about the holiday season is food. Even though I am an avid cook year round there is something special about cooking during the holidays. There are certain recipes that are only made for the holidays and there are foods that just remind you of the holiday season.
These next few weeks I will be busy preparing menus and dishes for holiday gatherings. We are keeping our Christmas menu simple this year, serving a buffet that people can dine on all day. Even though the menu has been simplified, I still plan on making dishes that are holiday favorites.
I have been eager to try many recipes I have found recently, my list keeps growing. Here are a few of my favorites I look forward to trying.
Red Wine and Cherry Spritzer by Not Rachael Ray. This is my type of drink!
Cheddar-Ranch Dip by Bake your Day. Simple and delicious. Perfect for the holiday buffet.
Spinach Artichoke Dip by The Spiffy Cookie. A delicious dip perfect with crackers of slices of bread.
Grilled Guacamole by Laurens Latest. I could eat the entire batch! Delicious!
Brown Sugar Balsamic Glazed Pork Loin by Jane Deere. A delicious dish to serve for Christmas Eve.
Gingersnap Pomegranate Parfaits by Epicurean Mom. This is on my menu for Christmas Eve! Fabulous!
Chocolate Pecan Pie Bars by Glorious Treats. Delicious!
All these recipes are making me hungry! Let’s Eat, Drink and be Merry, today’s inspiration!
