Dining Out: Cracker Barrel

My family and I love dining at Cracker Barrel. It’s has simple, fresh, down home cooking that my family loves. I’m a sucker for their breakfast menu filled with some of my favorites like french toast with fried apples and I absolutely love their biscuits and gravy.
It was probably about 20 years ago that I first visited a Cracker Barrel. I was living in Syracuse at the time and I was going to visit my family a few hours away in Buffalo for the weekend. One evening my mom suggested we go to Cracker Barrel for dinner. From the moment I walked in and stepped into the Old Country Store filled with unique foods, adorable home decor and products I was in love.
Since then I always look forward to going to Cracker Barrel. Whether we are traveling or just looking for a good place to go out to eat Cracker Barrel is one of our favorites. Every time we go I know we are going to have a good meal made with fresh ingredients. My kids love to sit outside to play checkers and to sit on the comfortable rocking chairs. It keeps them busy while I enjoy some shopping in the Cracker Barrel’s Retail Store!
I love when we go there and they have a crackling fire. It’s so cozy! When we dine there for dinner I can’t get enough of their meatloaf. It’s pure comfort food.
They have yummy options for kiddos too. My kids love their pancakes! For lunch or dinner the Macaroni and Cheese and Chicken and Dumplins that are made from scratch are some of their favorites.
If you have never visited a Cracker Barrel before or if it’s been awhile since you have been there, it’s definitely worth a visit for some down home cooking and some retail therapy at Cracker Barrel!
We love Cracker Barrel. There is not one near us so we love eating there on road trips.
