BIG MAC SLIDERS

Oh the Big Mac! Who doesn’t love one of these tasty burgers? What is it about a Big Mac that you love? For me, it’s definitely the sauce! And I generally don’t like pickles or cheese on hamburgers (yes, I know I’m crazy) but I will eat cheese and pickles on a Big Mac!

And who remembers the Big Mac jingle? Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun. Even after all these years, when I think of a Big Mac, I remember that jingle!

These Big Mac Sliders have everything you love about a Big Mac including the special sauce all in one tasty slider! Mr. Mother Thyme and my son LOVE these!

One of my secrets to these tasty sliders is I bake the burger patties. It definitely makes a difference! Since they are tiny I feel if I grill or cook them in a pan they’ll become hockey pucks. And no one likes biting into a hard burger. Baking these tasty little patties make them soft and juicy, just a like Big Mac!

You can either get slider patties already made, or it’s easy just to make your own. I have a burger/slider press that I like to use that makes making burgers and sliders super easy! While the burgers are baking, I get everything else ready to go so once they’re done I can assemble these tasty burgers!

I love to serve these with french fries. We love the McCain 5 minute fries. They’re super easy and I just toss them in my air fryer for about 5 minutes.

Who’s craving a Big Mac now?

Well satisfying that craving with these tasty Big Mac Sliders for dinner tonight! You’ll love them as much as we do!

Big Mac Sliders

Everything you love about a Big Mac all in one tasty slider!

  • Author: Jenn Dempsey
  • Prep Time: 15
  • Cook Time: 20
  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 12 sliders

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 6 slices American cheese singles (cut in half )
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dill relish
  • 1 tablespoon butter (melted)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 12 slider rolls
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced white onion
  • 12 pickles
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with foil.
  2. Make 12 equal size slider patties using your hands or a slider press. Place on baking sheet. Gently press your thumb in the center of each patty slightly to create an indent.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway until cooked through.
  4. Cut cheese slices in half and place a half slice of cheese on each patty and cook a couple more minutes until the cheese is melted. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
  5. While the patties are baking, in a small bowl assemble the sauce and buns. In a small bowl mix  together the mayonnaise, ketchup and dill relish until combined. Set aside.
  6. Brush butter on the tops of the slider buns and sprinkle with the sesame seeds.
  7. To assemble, place the bottom of the slider buns on a large platter or tray. Top with cooked patties with cheese. Sprinkle with lettuce and diced onion and a pickle.
  8. Spread special sauce on the underside of the top bun and place on top of pickle.

Notes

This makes 12 sliders, that will serve about 6 people (2 sliders per person). If you don’t need as many, you can easily adjust this and cut the recipe in half.
