How many times did you hear growing up an apple a day keeps the doctor away?
I heard it…a lot. I guess eating a lot of apples paid off;  knock on wood. Â
Apples are my favorite. Â Crunchy and juicy; Â sweet and tart. Â I love them. Â And come apple season, I am in my glory. Â Â Â
It also gives me the excuse to make a kuchen, which is German for cake is a family favorite. Â
