DIY Dollar Tree Candle Holder
Wait until you see this cute and easy DIY Dollar Tree Candle Holder made with a few supplies from Dollar Tree and customize however you’d like.
How cute is this DIY Dollar Tree Candle Holder? I love the way it turned out! It can be a candle holder or used as a stand.
You can customize this however you’d like. I choose to paint mine black and give it more of an Americana/primitive look. I painted mine black, added some rusty stars, and a cute homespun bow. You could paint this whatever color you’d like and add any embellishments.
THE SUPPLIES
- Galvanized bucket from Dollar Tree
- Cake pan from Dollar Tree
- Painters Tape
- FolkArt Chalk paint in the color Rich Black
- Clear E6000
- Homespun Ribbon
- Rusty Stars
- Hot glue
- Clear sealer
STEP 1
Cover the jute twine on the bucket with painters tape.
STEP 2
I painted the bucket and cake pan a few coats of black chalk paint. You could spray paint it if you prefer.
STEP 3
Once painted, I applied clear E6000 around the bottom rim of the bucket and then centered the cake pan on top of that. I gently pressed down on the cake pan to have it adhere to the E6000 and attach it to the bucket, then set it aside to dry.
- If you want to seal this, spray with clear sealer before decorating.
STEP 4
Next I added some cute rusty stars around the bottom on the twine. I attached them with hot glue.
And then tore a piece of homespun fabric and wrapped it around and made a bow. I didn’t use hot glue to attach it, but you could if you’d like.
I decorated mine with a candle ring and candle and I love the way it turned out! You could use this as a candle holder or a stand.
If you make this too I’d love to see! Make sure you snap a picture and tag me on Instagram @ motherthyme.
