Gingerbread Coffee Mix
- Yield: 2 small jars
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup good quality instant coffee (I like Starbucks)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup nonfat powdered milk (Carnations)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- Pinch of ground cloves, ground allspice and ground nutmeg
Instructions
Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl until combined. Add mixture to jars for gifting.
Notes
To make, add tablespoons coffee mix with 1 cup hot water. Top with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon if desired.
Peppermint Sugar Cookie Scrub
- Yield: 1 jar
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup coconut oil
- 10–12 drops of peppermint essential oil
- 1–2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
Mix all ingredients together in a bowl then add add to jar for gifting.
Rustic Bread Dip
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon dried basil
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley
- 1 tablespoon freshly cracked black pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons coarse salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
Instructions
- Mix all the spices together in a small pint size jar.
- To make, add 1 tablespoon of spice mixture with olive oil.
- Serve with bread.
Notes
Use this spice mix with roasted potatoes or chicken too!
Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
- 1/2–2/3 cup Hershey’s cinnamon chips
Instructions
- In a quart size mason jar mix together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Tamp down.
- Add light brown sugar then tamp down.
- Add sugar then tamp down.
- Add oats then tamp down.
- Top with cinnamon chips.
Notes
To make you will need 1/2 cup (1 stick butter) softened, 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Beat in a large bowl. Add cookie mix and mix until combined. Drop tablespoons size dough on cookie sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
