Gingerbread Coffee Mix

  • Yield: 2 small jars

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup good quality instant coffee (I like Starbucks)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup nonfat powdered milk (Carnations)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Pinch of ground cloves, ground allspice and ground nutmeg

Instructions

Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl until combined. Add mixture to jars for gifting.

 

Notes

To make, add tablespoons coffee mix with 1 cup hot water. Top with whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon if desired.

Peppermint Sugar Cookie Scrub

  • Yield: 1 jar

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil
  • 1012 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 12 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl then add add to jar for gifting.

Rustic Bread Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons coarse salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried minced onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary

Instructions

  • Mix all the spices together in a small pint size jar.
  • To make, add 1 tablespoon of spice mixture with olive oil.
  • Serve with bread.

Notes

Use this spice mix with roasted potatoes or chicken too!

Cinnamon Oatmeal Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/4 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/22/3 cup Hershey’s cinnamon chips

Instructions

  • In a quart size mason jar mix together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Tamp down.
  • Add light brown sugar then tamp down.
  • Add sugar then tamp down.
  • Add oats then tamp down.
  • Top with cinnamon chips.

Notes

To make you will need 1/2 cup (1 stick butter) softened, 1 egg and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Beat in a large bowl. Add cookie mix and mix until combined. Drop tablespoons size dough on cookie sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
