What size jars did you use for the cranberry cookies. What size jars did you use for all of them?
Hi! I used a quart size jar for the cookies. The jars size I used it also listed on each of the recipes on the PDF. 🙂
I have subscribed to your Mother Thyme channel and have thoroughly enjoyed you
and all your expertise. However, I cannot seem to find out how to print out the directions to your
holiday summer pot. I have made 8 jars for Christmas gifts but cannot find the tag.
Could you please help me.
Thanks a bunch
Angi
Hi! I emailed it to you.:)
I couldn’t fit the ingredients from the recipe for merry Christmas soup in the 1.5 pint jar. Are the recipe measurements accurate?
Hi! A 1.5 pint jar should work and fill right to the top. You may need to tamper it down a bit or use a little less rice at the top. I actually make these using pint jars and it fills it almost right up, I just use less rice so a 1.5 pint jar should fit it all. You can also watch how I make them here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ab95DfccxN0
I made these for gifts and I also could not fit everything in the pint jar. Looks like you only added 1/2C rice to each jar. The recipe calls for 1C so I gave the other 1/2C in a separate bag in the gift bag. Can you make this with only 1/2C rice?
Thank you for sharing these ideas and for the free printables!
Hi! Yes, you can definitely add less rice. I just top the jars with rice from 1/2-1 cup each depending on how much room I have left in the jars and what type/size jar I use. Even with less than 1 cup rice it’s just as delish!
