Free Printables

And like I’ve mentioned I am sharing the printables I used to make them for free! Fill out the form below and they’ll be sent right to your inbox!

You will receive 3 8×10 PDF images for fall, Halloween and Christmas. You can print all 3 or use whatever one you want.

I like to print mine on watercolor paper for a textured look, or you can use cardstock.

These printables are so cute! I love them all! The Christmas village is so nostalgic. I could gaze at this picture all day! There is just something about a cozy Christmas village scene that makes me with I could escape there!

No Wrinkles!

One of the best Mod Podge hacks for wrinkle free projects I’ve learned several years ago was to use parchment paper! It’s been a lifesaver! If you’ve never done this, you’ll love this!

Simply apply a coat of Mod Podge to your surface and then let it dry or use a dryer. Once dry, apply your design on top, then a piece of parchment paper on top of that.

Next you will iron the top of the parchment paper until the design sticks to the project. The heat of the iron will warm up the Mod Podge and the design will adhere to the project wrinkle free! It’s brilliant and one hack I wish I knew sooner! No more wrinkly projects!

You will see in the tutorial video I do this when I attach the design to the canvas board as well as the scrapbook paper.

I like to use designs/images that are almost the same size as the canvas board. If using a smaller image, say a 5×7 card or picture I recommend attaching a piece of scrapbook paper to the board first, then the image you are using. The reason for this is when you cut open the canvas if any of the sides are showing around the picture it won’t be just the plain canvas.

Cutting the Canvas

When you are ready to bust the canvas you will first want to mark the center of where you are going to cut and where the focal point of your image is. I then take my scissors to make a hole through the canvas to mark it.

Then using scissors or a rotary cutter I cut slits. I like to cut various lengths and sizes for a more busted look.

I hope these tips and video tutorial help guide you to make this fun craft project too! If you make one I’d love to see! Snap a picture and tag me on Facebook or Instagram!

Happy crafting!
