Print On Fabric
I like to use muslin, a drop cloth or a lightweight cotton fabric. You don’t want to use any thick fabric or it will jam in your printer.
I cut my fabric pieces to 8×10 so it leaves a border around the edges of the paper.
To attach my pieces of fabric to a piece of plain old copy paper I use a spray adhesive. I like to use Elmers Spray Adhesive which you can get HERE.

I lightly spray the back of the fabric with the adhesive on a protected surface then place it in the center of my paper.
Next I place the paper with the fabric attached in my printer and print away! It’s as easy as that!
Peel the fabric off the backing and you’re done with printing on fabric! It’s so easy!

No-Sew Vintage Seed Packets
Of course I couldn’t resist making vintage seed packets with prints but guess what? For these I print on fabric! I love printing on fabric. I used to have a laser jet printer but got an inkjet printer just so I could print on fabric because I love doing it. And it’s so easy to!
Once I print my images on fabric I cut and trim the images to size. For these fabric seed packets I printed the 5×7 images. I also cut another piece for the backing.
If you sew you can sew these together or use hot glue for an easy no-sew project. I recommend using glue hot glue for a secure hold.

I hot glue around the top and sides leaving just a small seam around the edges and then set a side for a few minutes to allow the glue to set and dry.
Once dry fill with stuffing. I just use stuffing from an old pillow. You can also add in a few drops of fragrance oil or potpourri too.
I like to fill these nice and full then I seal the bottom with hot glue.
And that’s it! These turn out so cute and are great to tuck anywhere or to use as bowl filler. You can even use the 8×10 print and make larger packets as little pillows!

Stained Muslin
For my fabric I use stained muslin. I like to make these in batches so I have them on hand so I cut a bunch of muslin which I get at Hobby Lobby for $3.99 a yard. I wait until it’s 40% off.
I cut my pieces to 8×10.
Note: If I’m printing 8×10 images on fabric I cut them a little larger and print on legal size paper the I trim down slightly so I have a little wiggle room.
Next a take some hot water and mix it with instant coffee and imitation vanilla and mix it in a shallow aluminum pan until the coffee is dissolved. You could even use leftover coffee you have in the coffee pot too and just add a little vanilla.
Next I dip my fabric pieces in the liquid and squeeze the excess out. I place the pieces on baking sheets I lined with aluminum foil.

I also like to lightly sprinkle some instant coffee on top to get the dark little spots on my fabric. Sometimes I’m strategic with this depending on the project, sometimes I just sprinkle or sometimes I don’t even add any. If you like the little aged dark spots, sprinkling a little instant coffee on the fabric will give you that effect.
I place the damp pieces of fabric on the baking sheets and “bake” them in a 200 degree oven. I go about 4 minutes and then check and flip them until they are dry. You want to keep your eye on them!
