Summer picnic season is right around the corner. I can’t wait! My family and I are anxious to get to our summer camp where we enjoy family weekends around the campfire and enjoying the great outdoors.
This recipe for my Mom’s Calico Beans is a family favorite. It’s a great recipe to have on hand to make for any of your outdoor picnics, potlucks or family reunions. My mom has made this recipe for years for many gatherings. It is always a hit!
These Calico Beans are made with pork and beans, garbanzo, lima and kidney beans along with ground beef, bacon and onions and tossed in a delicious sauce.
Once you try these you’ll never want to serve plain old baked beans again.
