The Best Wax Melts To Make Your Home Smell Cozy

It’s no secret that I love wax melts! It’s my favorite way to scent my home. I have several warmers throughout my home that I use daily! I just turn it on in the morning and my home smells cozy and inviting all day long.

How To Change Wax Melts In Warmer

Most of the wax cubes last at least a day. Once the scent isn’t as strong I turn off my warmer, let the wax harden then pop it in the freezer. In a few hours I’ll remove it from the freezer and the wax easily pops out so I can reuse the warmer with no mess.

How To Change Wax Melt Scents

If I want to change the scent and there is still scent left in the warmer I’ll turn the warmer off, let the wax harden and pop it in the freezer. When I remove the harden wax from the warmer I’ll just pop the little melt disc in a freezer bag and store it in the freezer so I can reuse the scent again.

You can find wax warmers at many stores including Walmart, Target, of course Amazon, and even Hobby Lobby! I love mine! It is so pretty and it works year round. I actually found mine at Gabe’s years ago, but you can find it on Amazon too. I love it so much I own 3!

10 Best-Smelling Wax Melts

One of the questions I get asked often is what are my favorite wax melts. Well my friends, I have tried A LOT of them! I have narrowed it down to my favorite, go-to wax melts that are perfect to make your home smell homey, cozy and inviting!

These are my favorite everyday home wax melt scents. Of course I have my favorite seasonal fall and Christmas scents too, but I wanted to share ones that you will love year-round.

Like I mentioned before these are my favorite, go-to everyday home wax melts. Honestly I’m not into a lot of fruity or floral scents. I love more of gourmand scent that smells inviting. I love the way it makes my home smell and anytime someone comes over I always get compliments on how good my house smells.

#1 Swan Creek Candle Co. Roasted Espresso

This is an oldie but a goodie. There is just something about this scent that I love. Yes, it smells like coffee but in a cozy and inviting way. It’s like when you walk into a quaint little coffee shop and the aroma of coffee lingers in the air. It just makes you want to sit down with a yummy cup of coffee and a good book.

I also love how strong the scent is. It’s has a great throw but it’s not overpowering. I also love that the wax cubes last awhile too. I can pop one in in the morning and it lasts all day long.

#2 McCall’s Candle Bars Country Store

If you have never tried this one, you are in for a real treat. I absolutely love this scent and the way it makes my home smell. I use this one all the time! It’s the perfect homey scent! Sometimes I’ll have Swan Creek Candle Roasted Espresso burning in one room and this in another. I wish I could bottle up the two scents together.

This one just smells so homey and inviting. The package comes with 6 bars and I’ll pop one bar in my warmer in the morning and it will last all day. If you just turn it on a few hours a day you could definitely get several days worth of scent.

This scent blend of oranges, apples, cinnamon and spices. It’s also packaged as Christmas Jingle for the Christmas too. It’s a great fall and Christmas scent, but I love it year round too!

#3 Better Homes and Gardens Vanilla & Caramel Spice

It was love at first smell with this scent and this baby is strong too! Just one little cube has amazing throw! If you love a strong throw, you’ll love this scent.

I love the blend of vanilla and caramel spice in this and again I love the way it makes my home smell.

While the scent is strong, it doesn’t last as long as some of the others do. If I pop one in in the morning, the scent is usually gone by the end of the day, but they are inexpensive (roughly $2.50-ish for a package of 6 wax cubes) so I’ll just switch it out when it loses the scent or I’ll just add another cube too it when I need to add more scent.

#4 Better Homes and Gardens Butterscotch & Maple Cream

Another Walmart wax melts hits the list with this yummy Better Homes and Gardens Butterscotch and Maple Cream scent. There is just something about this scent I love. The blend of creamy butterscotch and sweet maple cream smells so good! It’s just a good year-round inviting scent!

I do use 2 cubes in my wax warmer of this scent for maximum yet not overpowering scent. I get about a full day (about 8 hours) out of it before I need to change it out. You can’t beat the price for these either, only about $2.50-ish for a package.

#5 Better Homes and Gardens Vanilla & Cookie Crunch

If you have not tried Vanilla and Cookie Crunch, you need to try it! It’s one I use several times a week. I just love the way it makes my home smell! It’s got an amazing blend of shortbread cookie along with buttercream and vanilla. You can never go wrong with vanilla!

I can’t resist this one year round! The blend of spices including cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg along with maple cream, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla makes this scent irresistible!

#7 Better Homes and Gardens Caramel & Bread Pudding

Yes another one from Walmart! But trust me you guys the Better Homes and Gardens wax melts are great! Not only are they affordable, but the scents are amazing too! Plus they have a wide variety of scents and they come out with seasonal scents too. So if you like more fruity, floral scents you can’t go wrong.

This Caramel & Bread Pudding is another must try that will make your home smell like you’ve got something baking in the oven. The blend of caramel along with bread, butter, vanilla, brown sugar and spices like nutmeg and cloves make this a go-to scent year round!

I like to use 2 cubes in my warmer for maximum scent that fills my home with yumminess!

#8 – Yankee Candle Home Sweet Home

Home Sweet Home is such a classic scent! It is one that I have used for over 20 years. I used to burn this when YC had tarts before they switched to the clamshell wax cubes. I’ll be honest, I do miss the tarts but the cubes are nice too and this scent is a classic. If you’ve never tried it before it’s a must-try!

If you are sensitive to cinnamon or just not a fan of cinnamon scents this may not be the scent for you.

There is a reason this is a long-running Yankee Candle scent! It is a certainly a classic that will make your home sweet home!

#9 1803 Candle Mom’s Kitchen

If you prefer all-natural/soy based wax melts 1803 Candle has a great selection. I have tried many throughout the years. It’s a clean scent. The wax melts do not have as strong of a throw as the others, but it is still very subtle and pleasant. Mom’s Kitchen is a great homey and cozy scent that will make your home smell like you’ve got something yummy baking in the oven!

The blend of caramel along with pecans and maple with this scent one you’ll love have burning in your home too!

#10 Milkhouse Candle Layer Cake

Another clean 100% paraffin-free soy melt are Milkhouse Candle. I love their candles (especially their monster candles) and their wax melts. Most of them have more of a subtle throw, so if you prefer a stronger throw you may be disappointed in these. I like to use them in my bedroom where I want more of a subtle scent. It just makes it smell good without being overpowering. We have high ceilings in our bedroom and 1 cube fills the room with a nice subtle/not overpowering throw.

Layer Cake tops the list from Milkhouse as it is perfect for the vanilla lover! And like I mentioned before vanilla is the perfect homey scent that realtors love to use when showing homes too! It is a classic vanilla scent that has some character to it without smelling fake. I am very picky when it comes to vanilla scents, and this one smells so good plus it has a hint of sweetness and a pinch of spice to make this the perfect vanilla scent.

It was hard to narrow my list to just 10, but I have a few that almost made the cut that you should add to your list to try as well!
