SUNDAY MORNING BISCUITS IN A JAR + FREE TAGS!

Nothing beats warm biscuits on a Sunday morning, or any morning if you ask me. But there is something about warm biscuits on a Saturday or Sunday morning to make biscuits and gravy, to make strawberry shortcake, serve with some fresh fruit, sweet jam, top with eggs, a dollop of clotted cream or drizzle with whipped honey!

These drop biscuits are so easy! You just need flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, melted butter and milk. That’s it!

And what makes it even easier, you can add the dry ingredients ahead of time into jars so you can dump it into a bowl, add melted butter and milk and you are on your way to warm homemade biscuits! It’s a great pantry staple!

Simply mix the flour, sugar, salt and baking powder in a jar, add a free printable tag that you can get HERE with the instructions and you have an easy gift to give or to add in a basket along with some whipped honey.

If you prefer writing out your own tag with instructions this is what you’ll add :

  • You’ll need –
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • To make –
  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Add biscuit mix to a large bowl.
  • Stir in butter and milk until just combined.
  • Drop heaping tablespoons of mixture to a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake on center rack for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 23 tablespoons sugar (You can add 2 or 3 tablespoons depending on your desired sweetness)
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a quart size jar and cover to store.

Notes

  • To make add contents of jar to a large bowl along with a 1/2 stick of butter melted and 1 cup milk. Mix ingredients until just combined.
  • Drop biscuits by heaping tablespoons to a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 450 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
