DIY DOLLAR TREE SIDE TABLE
Need a little side table? You can easily make this cute DIY Dollar Tree side table using 2 wire trash baskets, a pizza pan, and some nautical rope from Dollar Tree!

How cute is this little side/accent table? I love the way it turned out!
Not only is this little side table cute, it’s super easy and affordable to make! With just a few supplies you can easily whip up one or a few of these side/accent tables too!

Supplies
- 2 Wire trash baskets from Dollar Tree
- Pizza pan from Dollar Tree
- Nautical rope from Dollar Tree
- Clear E6000 – I get mine at Hobby Lobby but you can order it on Amazon too
- Spray paint – I used Rust Oleum Painters Touch flat black spray paint
- Rusty stars are from Amazon – click HERE for the ones I use
- Hot glue
- Sealer
Step 1

Apply E6000 to the bottom rim of one of the baskets. Place the other basket on top. I like to make sure the wire align. There is a part of the basket where the wire overlaps so I like to have that as the back and align that with the other basket going on top.
Gently press to make sure the iE6000 adheres. I also like to go around the rim where the ends meet.
I like to give it a little time to have the baskets set and attach before adding the top.
Step 2

Once the baskets are secure, next add a ribbon of E6000 around the top rim of the basket. Center the pizza pan and place on top. Gently press to hold.
Give it a little time for it to hold and dry.
Step 3

Once the top is dry, I like to turn it over and add a little more E6000 around the bottom rim where the pizza pan and basket meet.
Step 4

Once dry, it’s time to spray paint. I apply an even coat of spray paint all over the table and allow it to dry. Once it’s dry I turn it over and spray paint the bottom.
Step 5

Next I wrap nautical rope around the center of the table and attaching it with hot glue.
I took an extra piece of the nautical rope and added it to the center.
Step 6

I hot glued some rusty stars to finish it off.
If you make this too I’d love to see! Make sure you snap a picture and tag me on Instagram at motherthyme.
Happy crafting!

I love this… i was wondering about a way to add some weight to the table. Is it flimsy? Or a good weight. Will def be trying it for our new screened in patio. Thanks
Hi! I have used it on our porch and set my coffee on it and it works great. I wouldn’t put too much weight on it but to use as a side table it will definitely work.
i can’t get the wastebasket to stick to the pizza pan .I have used E6000 glue and Gorilla glue like e6000 .Any suggestions ?
